SSI is a significant component of the Disproportionate Share formula. Additionally, DECO pursues SSI with each patient because, if awarded, the patient will receive a monthly income of approximately $600. This presents a great incentive for the patient to cooperate with us.

DECOnet™ allows for crossing of accounts for eligibility and disability so there is no duplication of efforts. If patients do not qualify for Medicaid due to slightly excessive assets, they may still qualify for SSI and get the bill paid.

DECO will handle the intake ‘screening’ process, submit at the initial Claim Level, and represent the patient though the Reconsideration Claim Level, the Hearing Claim Level, and the Appeals Council Level as needed.

DECO has extremely qualified workers with previous experience working on the DSS side of the equation to bring great insight into how to get a patient awarded benefits.

DECO has a high average of successful awards upon initial application.

Risk Mitigation Programs for MCOs & Insurers

DECO has MCO clients who contract with us to assist their sickest patients win SSI benefits to remove them from the rolls of the MCO and place them in the federal program. The patient still has medical coverage and additionally receives a monthly income.
